Therefore, it is particularly important to replace severely damaged belts regularly. In the process of belt replacement, we need to re joint the belt. There are three commonly used belt joint methods: belt buckle joint method, cold adhesive joint method, hot vulcanized joint method.
Belt buckle joint method
Belt buckle joint method is to use the belt buckle to connect the belt.
This method is generally suitable for small belt conveyor equipment, with economic benefits, simple operation, fast replacement speed and other characteristics.
The procedure for belt buckle connector is as follows
1. Adjust the length of the belt buckle to about 5cm narrower than the belt, fix the belt buckle on the lower template, and put on the positioning pin.
2. Insert the belt into the belt buckle to the position where the front section all touches the bottom, and the belt and belt buckle should be symmetrical.
3. When fastening, first nail a buckle in the center position, and then nail the buckle close to the two edges of the belt, that is, the belt is positioned first, and then bound from the middle position to the left and right sides. When binding each belt buckle, ensure that the bottom surface of the hand-held upper punching die touches the upper surface of the buckle body. First, tap the punch so that the buckle plate touches the belt, and then hammer the punch hard to nail the buckle, which will automatically bend after penetrating the belt.
Conclusion: Although the belt buckle joint method is simple to operate, it is easy to damage, and even affects the service life of the conveying equipment, and has certain limitations.
